Sophia Di Meglio is an illustrator, author, and art educator based in New York. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Fashion Institute of Technology, with a foundation in painting, sculpting, drawing, and printmaking. She also earned a Master’s degree in Art Education, giving her a deep, empathetic understanding of how children view and interpret the world.

An avid animal lover, Sophia wrote and illustrated her debut picture book, A Big Life for Buddy, in memory of her childhood dog. The story gently helps children navigate the experience of loss with compassion and warmth.

Sophia’s artistic style blends whimsical charm with magical storytelling, inspired by the classic fairytales she adored growing up. Through her watercolor illustrations and narrative work, she aims to create meaningful stories that make children feel seen, enchanted, and inspired.
